A quiet page does not need to explain itself too loudly.

When every screen includes a large cluster of controls, the reader is reminded that the interface matters as much as the text. I wanted the opposite feeling: arrive, read, leave with as little friction as possible.

Navigation should help the reader leave the chrome behind.

That is why this demo keeps navigation spare. Links remain available where they are useful, but they do not lead the page.
